7/11/2019 update: Progress report
almost 5 years ago – Fri, Jul 12, 2019 at 02:54:47 AM

  Hi everyone,

I hope all is well in your worlds! I’m hopping in to give you an update on our progress.

Things are going OK in the development department. I have almost all of the world sections for the Game Masters Guide in; I’m waiting on some more Savage Tales, the final Plot Point Campaign,  more  threats (various mooks) and I’m working on advice for game masters.

The player’s guide still needs more equipment, edges, hindrances and other player-related mechanics.

The introductory adventure is complete and  ready for editing.

Bennies, cards, and dice need to be ordered, and I’ll be doing that in the next week or so. Mainly I’m waiting on stragglers to finish filling out their surveys so I can get an accurate count.

All of the books need more art, but I’m holding off on  more orders until layout is done.

Hacking is about 99% complete. I’m sharing a preview of what is going into the JumpStart. The rules compromise the core of the system, and address issues with 2.0 hacking, like lack of descriptions so you can see the rules in action, a simple mechanic that actually lets characters know if they’ve been hacked, and concise descriptions of the types of things hackers can do once they have gained access to a computer system. Counter Hacking is also presented, which  gives you a framework for booting those brainers out of your TAP.

At first glance, the rules might seem like they are too much, but they really aren’t. A lot of the page count is because of formatting, tables, side bars, and the examples.

The pdf is laid out in the final design (hopefully), thought I could use feedback on that, as I’m too close to my work. Fresh eyes are always welcome.

Ok I think that’s it for now.

Thanks so much for your patience. Good work takes time.

06/24/2019 Update: Progress and a Preview
almost 5 years ago – Mon, Jun 24, 2019 at 11:54:44 PM

Hi everyone, long time no update.

I just wanted to keep all you apprised of the progress. We're making great headway but a few things have caught a snag. It's not a huge deal, but we won't release until July at the latest, though I should have the Jumpstart ready in about a week or so.  I'm just not keen on rushing things; I never have been. 3 Plot Point Campaigns is a serious challenge, and I've seen the first two (and love them!), but am waiting on the third one.

Anyhow. everything else is coming along well. I have the final *beta* draft of the Augmentation rules ready for you to chew on. They aren't laid out yet, but I want ya to check them out. You won't find many "sample" pieces, but you will find the rules covering all types of augmentations your characters can get. This includes cybertech, chemtech, biotech, genetech and nanotech.

I've sent the files through backerkit, (sorry if some of you are getting multiple emails) but I'm also providing the link here:

06/05/2019: Surveys on the way!

Hi everyone,

I'm happy to announce that the Surveys are being sent out. Please answer them as soon as you can. Check your spam folder if you don't receive yours in the next 24 hours or so.

06/02/2019: Updated Covers
almost 5 years ago – Mon, Jun 03, 2019 at 01:15:14 AM

I'll be doing wrap around covers for this project. I went ahead and used the first graphic design to frame everything. There's no text or logos on the back cover yet, but anyhow I thought I'd  share them with you.

Check 'em out.

05/28/2019: Surveys almost complete and other news
almost 5 years ago – Wed, May 29, 2019 at 01:27:06 AM

Hi everyone, I'm just popping in to let you know that the surveys are almost ready to send out surveys! They should be ready by the First of June.

In other news, things are coming along nicely. I've received the first Plot Point Campaign, and the other two are being written.

I've received the rough draft of the weapons section. Remember I said that we're doing some basic weapons, and providing a bunch of customization options. We're doing that with everything,  so even though the gear chapter might appear to be big, that's because it'll have a ton of modification options for everything from weapons and armor to clothing and vehicles.

Most of the city trappings are done. The World Chapter is nearly completed. I've brought on Jason Blair to do the life in 2095 section because his work on Streets of Bedlam makes him uniquely qualified to write about gritty subject matter.

John Dunn, the creator of  Accursed, is also on the team to do some new biohorrors. His background as a geneticist ensures he'll come up with some wild stuff, which is going to add a lot of fun to our Cleaning Crew Campaign Theme!

Finally, I want to preview some new artwork. Here are some Golemmechs and Robots you'll be seeing in IZ 3.0.
